Secular sin – The Good Life – 161209 HOS v.12.3

How does one sin in the face of indifference? By rejecting or ignoring the honest mandate of one’s own nature, tempered of virtue, directed of social ends. But if my nature is either ill-willed, or lacking in discretion towards the many, then virtue dictates I bottle it in, to protect myself and others from the base or malevolent character I cannot otherwise tame.
