Exploring an abandoned farm – Abandoned Japan

Though I can’t quite remember the reason I stopped the car here I was nevertheless happy I did for the mini-adventure which resulted. The old green tea farm I discovered below the road has been quite reclaimed by nature. Remnants of structures and other farm infrastructure give witness to what may have once been a prosperous agricultural endeavor and likely the pride and livelihood of a farm family who carved a bit of humble, yet worthy industry from the wild mountains of central Japan.
