A life of courage, joy and independence.
I happened upon this old house while in the midst of a day-long bicycle ride through the mountains, valleys and along the rivers surrounding the coastal area of Okitsu, Japan. Though I saw many abandoned structures and farms this day I was particularly struck by the lonesome feeling coming off of this place where furniture could be seen through long-sealed windows though which entry is barred by a gate of green across the front doorway.
